Longevity Promise Comes From Our Process

Step 1

Measurement, Analysis & Design

We survey the land, note soil type, and determine wall height. These steps guide our engineering approach and materials selection.

Step 2

Excavation

We excavate the foundation between 8” inches to 1’ foot deeps minimum and 2 or 3 feet extra behind the wall depending on the ground and the higher of the wall. Why deep like that ?

Because of the foundation, it's the key to the success of the wall for a long period. Our first line of blocks should be in the ground or half, 1/4 out of the ground. And it needs a strong foundation to support the pounds of each block over.

Step 3

First Layer

After the excavation, we mark our line to determine the height of the first row, the most important step.

We’re going to fill between 4 and 6 inches of clear crush for the foundation, compact and start to install the first course straight. It’s important also depending on the higher of the wall, over 4 feet higher we will need to use geogrid every 2 courses of the wall, to make the structure of the wall stronger.

Step 4

Crush & Drainage

When all the blocks are installed we're going to use filter fabric to behind the wall to separate the blocks and the ground, both need to be clearly separate. What can happen on longtime if not ? The rain, the weather will push the dirt, the ground gonna a makes a pressure against the wall, that why It’s really important to separate and have minimum 1 or 2 feet it can be 3 also depending on the higher of the wall, but normally we do at 2 feet extra behind, for a wall under 4 feet higher.

We gonna fill behind the wall and inside the block with clear crush and install the drain. Some wonder why we don’t use concrete and rod inside the blocks? Because clear crush will help to drain the water inside and behind the wall and not the concrete, and the rod? It’s for pure concrete wall.

Step 5

Let's Do It !

Before the done, we need to glue and install the caps. Then, cut, clean and work done.

What our clients say about us

“Fantastic, the guys did the porcelain patios on each floor. It was more than I expected. It was fun to see them working as a team, listening to music and laughing while working. Really good work!”

Rick M.

Homeowner

“ What a job! The guys did a great job. Our parking lot is spotless and the good thing about them is that throughout the job they kept us informed of the progress of the work, and we knew what we were investing in. There were no surprises at the end, the goods were delivered as written and wow, great job guys!”

Ashley & Mark T.

Property Owner

“We really enjoyed watching him work. He takes his job seriously and is very coordinated. He works very meticulously, and we enjoyed working with him. We recommend!”

Sarah L.

Homeowner

" This is the second time I've called him, and he's a pleasure to do business with. He's had zero delays. Whether it's for a patio or a retaining wall or drainage, I think he knows what he's doing. And the price was good, it wasn't too high or too low, but just right for the budget and even after three years nothing has changed, everything remains intact. "

Micheal C.

Homeowner

“Our retaining wall was over 20 years old and was about to fall, and they did a wonderful job. It took a lot of effort and physical labour, and we're confident this new wall will last for many years to come."

Arisa & John C.

Homeowner

“We couldn’t be happier with our new patio! The team was professional, efficient, and truly brought our vision to life. Our backyard has become the perfect place to relax and entertain. Highly recommend!”
